Mill Conversion - 36 Apartments Residential
We carried out the full mechanical installation for this residential project, starting with the installation of a 63mm water main connected to the road main, fully tested, chlorinated, and prepared for United Utilities (UU) connection. Each floor was fitted with 9-port and 7-port manifolds, with meter connections located within dedicated riser cupboards. Due to the building’s vertical rise exceeding 10 metres, booster sets, and water storage tanks were installed to maintain optimal pressure throughout the system.
As an electrically fed building, each apartment was equipped with an unvented storage cylinder, installed and signed off in line with full building compliance. All bathrooms were first fixed, with sanitaryware installed and final fixes completed to a high standard. Kitchen services were also first and final fixed, excluding any joinery work.
We also installed internal soil stacks servicing all four floors, providing full drainage coverage and connecting into the underground system, with a stub stack on the top floor. Boosted mains were routed through the corridors to serve each apartment, all securely bracketed using Unistrut and suspended from the ceiling. Additionally, a 9 x 22mm water main was run over a 60-metre distance within the building to complete the installation

New Build - 24 Apartments
Social Housing
Taylor Doherty completed the full mechanical installation for this project, beginning with the installation of a 63mm water main connected to the road main, tested, chlorinated, and made ready for United Utilities (UU) connection. A 7-port manifold and meter connection were installed within the plant room to serve the system efficiently. Due to the building’s vertical elevation exceeding 10 metres, booster sets and water storage tanks were installed to ensure consistent water pressure throughout.
The building is electrically fed, with each apartment fitted with an unvented storage cylinder, all installed and signed off in accordance with building compliance standards. All bathrooms were fully first fixed, with sanitaryware installed and final fixes completed. Kitchens were both first and final fixed, with no joinery works undertaken as part of our scope.
Taylor Doherty also installed internal underfloor soil floats to provide effective drainage to all areas, with external soil stacks and basement drainage directed into a sump tank. Boosted mains were run throughout the corridors to serve each apartment, with pipework neatly bracketed using Unistrut and suspended from the ceiling. Additionally, a 7 x 22mm water main was installed, running 60 metres through the building to complete the system.

British Car Auctions - Industrial
We installed all heating pipework to radiators using crimped steel, ensuring a durable and efficient heating distribution system throughout the building. Flow and return lines for the heating system were also completed in crimped steel, running along corridors and within the plant room, connecting all pumps with precision and reliability.
For domestic services, we installed copper pipework using crimped fittings, delivering boosted hot and cold water supplies to all required outlets. In addition, we carried out the full drainage installation, both internal and external, providing a complete and compliant solution across the entire building.

Regatta Head Office - Commercial
We completed the installation of heating systems for all staff office areas, ensuring reliable comfort across workplace environments. Welfare facilities were fully serviced, including the installation of drainage and domestic pipework for kitchens, toilets, and showers.
Water and heating pipework were installed at high level, suspended from the ceiling using appropriate supports, with work carried out safely and efficiently using access machinery. The plant room was fully fitted with pipework, booster sets, and storage tanks, completing a robust and fully integrated mechanical system.
